• 1 set of headphones w/jack or USB connection
• 4 packages of #2 wooden sharpened pencils (24 count)
• 1 package of wide-ruled notebook paper
• 4 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count)
• 2 plastic pocket folders with brads (1 green & 1 yellow)
• 2 scissors (blunt tip)
• 2 packages of Crayola washable markers
• 2 package of colored pencils
• 1 pencil box or pouch
• 2 boxes of facial tissue
• 1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags (boys only)
• 1 box of quart size Ziploc bags (girls only)
• 1 1" binder (with clear plastic cover)
• 8 composition books
• 4 Magic Rub white erasers
• 1 package of dry erase markers
• 1 package of top loading sheet protectors
• 2 bottles of glue (4 oz)
• 12 glue sticks
• 2 Primary Journal Composition Books (with space for drawing)
• 1 Refillable water bottle

In addition, you can always build a starter kit of first grade school supplies and add to it as needed before the school year begins.

The first grade teachers at Houston Elementary will typically update their school supplies list on a yearly basis, we try to update this list accordingly however we advise you to check with your child's first grade teacher and double check with the school, Houston Elementary, to see if there have been any changes to this year's first grade supply list.

A couple of things to keep in mind when ordering your first grade supplies, consumable school supplies tend to run out long before the school year ends so take advantage of the back to school offers and stock up on the basic supplies, your child's first grade teacher at Houston Elementary will thank you for that, and more importantly, your child's presence is the most important thing, the supplies are second to that and your teacher will be more than understanding if you are unable to purchase all of the supplies on the list.
