First Grade School Supplies List

• 2 boxes of tissues
• 3 packs of disinfecting wipes (Clorox, Lysol)
• 1 Lysol Spray
• 1 zippered pencil bag (NO BOXES)
• 4 packs of crayons (24 count)
• 1 Pkg of white erasers
• 2 pack of #2 pencils SHARPENED (no mechanical pencils)
• 15 small glue sticks or 6 large glue sticks
• 1 yellow highlighter
• 2 pairs of scissors
• 1 pack of 12 colored pencils
• 1 pack of zippered plastic bags – gallon size
• 1 pack of zippered plastic bags – quart size
• 1 Raincoat for rainy days
• 1 Pair of Headphones (in a large plastic bag, labeled with your child’s name)

• 2 composition notebooks (Wide Ruled)
• 1 Duo-tang plastic folder - red

• 1 composition notebook (Wide Ruled)
• 1 plastic folder - blue

• 2 composition notebooks (Wide Ruled)

• 1 composition notebook (Wide Ruled)

In addition, you can always build a starter kit of first grade school supplies and add to it as needed before the school year begins.

The first grade teachers at M. A. Milam K-8 Center will typically update their school supplies list on a yearly basis, we try to update this list accordingly however we advise you to check with your child's first grade teacher and double check with the school, M. A. Milam K-8 Center, to see if there have been any changes to this year's first grade supply list.

A couple of things to keep in mind when ordering your first grade supplies, consumable school supplies tend to run out long before the school year ends so take advantage of the back to school offers and stock up on the basic supplies, your child's first grade teacher at M. A. Milam K-8 Center will thank you for that, and more importantly, your child's presence is the most important thing, the supplies are second to that and your teacher will be more than understanding if you are unable to purchase all of the supplies on the list.
